Comprehensive Evaluation
Across Multiple Criteria

The World Car Awards jury, made up of more than 100 international automotive journalists, evaluates vehicles across eight main categories: occupant environment, performance, value, safety, environmental impact, market significance, emotional appeal, and innovation. The EV9 consistently received high marks, with particular strength noted in occupant environment, performance, and innovation.
Recognition in the Electric Vehicle Category

The World Electric Vehicle category is limited to EV models that are produced at scale and available in key global markets.
Assessment criteria focus on efficiency and performance of the electric powertrain, along with charging convenience, range, battery safety and technology, environmental contribution, and innovation with specific regards to EV-specific design.
The EV9's recognition at the 2024 World Car Awards highlights the progress Kia has made in electric mobility. Kia remains focused on advancing electrification technologies, delivering thoughtful design, and pursuing sustainability, with the aim of improving mobility experiences for customers worldwide.
