The Kia EV9, Kia's flagship all-electric SUV, has been named the Supreme Winner at the 2024 Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY).
This recognition reflects the EV9's role in setting new benchmarks for the era of electrification, while focusing on sustainability, innovation, and design leadership.
Distinctive Design and Outstanding Efficiency
The WWCOTY jury described the EV9 as a “forward-looking, multi-purpose electric vehicle with remarkable efficiency.” They especially praised the vehicle’s advanced aerodynamics, cutting-edge technology, and family-friendly structure.
Outperforming 63 other contenders, the EV9 was recognized for its innovative design and functional excellence, further validating its strengths as a large electric SUV.
SUV for Families and Individuals
Among the jury members, Sherren Shabnam from the UAE highlighted the EV9's spacious and versatile three-row seating and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
She noted, "It feels almost like a living room in terms of comfort, and the ability to charge up to 80% in 24 minutes is truly a game changer for the EV market."
