Towards a Sustainable Tomorrow

Under the mission of contributing to 'Contribution to the free and safe movement of humankind through sustainable mobility,' Kia continues its social contribution activities, focusing on three core areas.’ We deeply understand the essence of social issues and proactively respond through sustainable practices.
Protecting Nature Through Action

We are taking the lead in addressing marine plastic pollution through our partnership with the global environmental NGO, The Ocean Cleanup. Kia focuses on effectively addressing the issue of ocean plastics by recycling materials collected from the sea, ensuring that they do not pollute the environment.

We are engaged in ecological restoration activities by planting halophytes in domestic wetlands to preserve biodiversity and enhance carbon absorption capabilities. To raise awareness of the value of superior wetland ecosystems both domestically and internationally, we support research and continue multifaceted efforts to protect marine ecosystems.

Kia participates in the Biochar project, an eco-friendly initiative that addresses livestock waste—a major source of odor and greenhouse gas emissions. By converting waste into renewable energy, we contribute to ecosystem preservation.
Safe and Accessible Mobility

Green Trip is Kia’s social contribution project designed to provide safe and convenient travel experiences for people with disabilities. It currently operates in Korea, offering modified vehicles including Carnival, PV5 Passenger and WAV (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) models. Green Trip provides services that support access for both electric and manual wheelchairs, and also services that allow users to drive themselves with driving functions adjusted to accommodate different disability levels. In addition, Green Trip runs a radio campaign to help prevent discrimination against people with disabilities and raise public awareness.
Supporting Growth for Future Generations

Kia operates educational programs designed to strengthen the self-reliance of future generations from diverse cultural backgrounds, helping them grow in harmony. Furthermore, we conduct various campaigns to improve social awareness of multiculturalism.

The Green Light Project is a global social contribution activity that supports local communities’ independence and growth through foundational infrastructure in education, health care, economy, etc. Since its inception in 2012, we have established 19 hubs across 15 countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe, estimating the social value created through this project over the past 13 years to be approximately 37.16 billion won.

Everyone deserves equal opportunities
to experience a broader world.
At the heart of Kia's vision for a better
society is a constant focus on people.
On every path where hope is present,
in every space we engage in,
Kia's movement continues.
