Structure Reimagined, Movement Transformed
A platform serves as both the framework of a vehicle and the foundation that determines its movement. But Kia’s platforms go beyond simply supporting a vehicle’s form. It is designed to elevate standards for driving performance and safety, while expanding space and business versatility—all seamlessly integrated within a single, flexible structure.

E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) is a dedicated electric vehicle platform designed exclusively for the era of electrification. As the foundation of Kia’s electric lineup, it moves beyond conventional limits in vehicle architecture, fundamentally redefining experience of time, energy, and space.

E-GMP is engineered to flexibly scale across different vehicle classes within a single structure. Core components such as batteries and motors are standardized, while a modular design approach allows vehicle forms to remain freely adaptable.
Built around this platform, Kia’s electrified lineup connects technology, design, space and experience into a seamless flow. Beyond simply broadening choices, Kia is defining the standard for the electrified era.

E-GMP redefines the fundamentals of driving, optimized specificly for the characteristics of electric vehicles. A wide, low-mounted battery lowers the center of gravity, minimizing body roll and ensureing stable handling during cornering and high-speed driving.
By integrating robust battery protection with enhanced body stiffness, the platform elevates both driving performance and safety. E-GMP goes beyond simply delivering powerful performance—it is engineered to handle that power safely and reliably.

Freed from engine-centric architecture, E-GMP features a flat, unobstructed floor. This enables efficient battery placement while offering generous legroom and a balanced open sense of space.
With the center tunnel removed, seating arrangements and storage options become more flexible. The vehicle is no longer confined to a fixed layout—it becomes a space designed to adapt to its purpose.

Designed with a flat floor structure, the skateboard platform allows various upper bodies to be mounted according to specific business needs. From logistics and mobility services to delivery applications, a single platform can flexibly adapt to multiple business uses. This scalability supports vehicle lineups ranging from compact to large, offering expandable solutions even as business environments evolve.

Positioning the driver’s seat as forward as possible maximizes interior efficiency for business use. Passenger models deliver a more comfortable travel experience, while cargo models prioritize loading capacity. Even on the same platform, entirely different experiences are tailored to the specific purpose.

The step-free, full flat floor simplifies boarding, loading, movement, and workflow. The lowered floor height reduces physical strain during boarding and loading, improving efficiency in repetitive work environments. Streamlined movements and simplified tasks contributes to more smoother business operations. E-GMP.S is a platform consider not only driving performance but also operational efficiency on site.
At Kia, safety is not merely a feature, but the starting point of design. By establishing standards beginning with unseen structures, we have built a solid foundation that remains unwavering in every driving situation.
A comprehensive safety structure protects both passengers and the high-voltage battery. The PE system dash panel and multi-load-path front structure effectively absorb and disperse collision energy, minimizing deformation of the passenger cabin. The expanded use of high-strength steel and hot-stamping technology further reinforces body integrity in the event of an accident.
Subframes aligned with the battery height, along with ample buffer zones between the battery and side body, ensure balanced protection against both frontal and side impacts.
The Integrated Modular Architecture (IMA) is a design methodology developed to maintain consistent quality across platforms, regardless of vehicle type or form. While component sharing enhances compatibility, repeated validation ensures a uniform level of quality across all models.
First applied to E-GMP.S, the IMA forms the foundation of next-generation platforms where driving performance and safety are seamlessly sustained through rigorous quality management.

Kia’s approach to safety begins in structures unseen. Ensuring that every drive flows naturally, upheld by standards that operate consistently. Safety that earns trust not in extraordinary moments, but on every ordinary road. That unwavering standard is what supports Kia’s platforms.

The platform we have built goes
beyond technology designed
only to move along the road.
By rethinking time, energy, and space,
it has expanded the reach of mobility.
Connecting experiences, businesses,
and even the flow of cities on a single foundation.
From this base we have created, mobility travels farther,
and solutions become reality.
