Q1. “It takes way too long to charge.”
Once upon a time when EVs first came out, indeed, it took a while to charge them. This is totally a thing of the past however. Thanks to Kia’s high-power and high-efficiency 800V charging technology, the Kia EV6 takes only 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% at a 350kW – letting you spend more time on your priorities. If you’re in a hurry, just spare 4.5min of your time charging and you can safely go up to 100km in the EV6.
Q2. “The battery doesn’t last long.”
The battery and a car’s range used to be the main hurdle when considering an EV purchase. The Kia EV6, however, presents a new paradigm in EV driving range. With the EV6 long-range version, you can travel up to 528km on a single charge (WLTP) – more than enough to take you on a weekend road trip.
Q3. “I’m worried that there will be no charging stations around.”
To provide quick and easy EV charging service, Hyundai Motor Group launched a super-rapid 800V charging brand, ‘E-pit’ in Korea. What makes it all the more convenient is an E-pit mobile app, where an all-in-one experience, from charging to payment, is possible. In Europe, Kia partnered with the European charging network IONITY, which plans to expand its number of 800V ultra-fast chargers from 1,500 to 7,000 by 2025 across the continent.
In addition to expanding the charging infrastructure, on-demand charging services are also on the rise. Q4. “Driving is all about fun, but electric cars lack power!”

Q5. “EVs are expensive to maintain.”
Surprisingly, compared to conventional vehicles, electric cars require less maintenance. For one thing, EV doesn’t require traditional automobile parts such as engine oil or transmission oil that once needed frequent replacement. What’s more, the first replacement of coolant for the EV6 is recommended at 200,000 km or 10 years. That is about 5 times longer than generally advised on internal combustion engine vehicles.
